- Biography: I grew up in Jamaica, in the mountains. And I grew up in an extended coffee home on a plantation in the Blue Mountains. I went to school there and we used to have to walk 10 miles to school every day. (laughs) I was very athletic, I was in all kind of sports, soccer, cricket…whatever the guys did, I did! When I became a teenager, we moved to the city for high school. I went to high school early because once you get to the 7th grade and you start taking these tests. If you pass it the first time, you go straight to high school. I passed the first time and I graduated high school at 16 years old. I went to college in the United States.
